I was at a friend's house on Saturday and there was about fifteen of us there just playing games and what not. I had never been there before because she lives pretty far down off of East Wash. We had just started to play tip cup and this old man just walks down the basement stairs towards us just smiling. He had to have been at least around seventy. The girl that lives there gives him a beer from the keg and he starts chillin. His name is Larry and he lives next door. He decides he wants to learn how to play flip cup. So, someone explained it to him, which took awhile, and we started playing, Larry going last in line. When it gets to be his turn, he chugs like a half a cup of beer and puts the cup the wrong way on the edge of the table and starts flipping. We are all screaming because the last person on the other team is drinking their beer and catching up. Larry realizes the cup is upside down and fixes it. Then, he goes to flip it, and gets it on his first try. We win. It took him at least three more games to get the cup the right way when you flip it, but he still always got the right flip the first time, and we won the game every time with him on our side. I have to say it was pretty amusing to watch him play. He was so serious when it was his turn. I've of course drank with older people before, but they have never played tip cup.

I love to drink with my parents and it never gets old. Although they seem completely out of the loop with all the different games they always seem to win. One time before a football game my parents played my cousin and her friend in beer pong and my parents ended up winning even though my cousin and her friend were definately experienced. I don't know how they do it. I hope that when my kids grow up and teach me some ackward game that I too can dominate at it.
I come from a really small town in northern Wisconsin where all people could do for fun was to drink, and a lot of times the parents hosted the parties and even cooked food for everybody. The best times were when some of the parents liked to join in the fun. I remember seeing my friend's dad build a beeramid and then use himself as a giant bowling ball to knock it down.
ha.. this is so funny because I know exactly who you are talking about!! I saw the pictures from that night, and I was like HEEY I know that girl. So I did a little investigation and it turns out you live with Dave and Harmony. I went to high school with Dave.. and with the host of the party.. small world. But yea adding in to the fact that it's great to hang with the "old" guys, it's really amusing watching them learn drinking games and benefitting from beginners luck :-)
Last time my roommate's dad did a beer bong he got down on his knees and her mom just looked at her and said,"How the hell is he going to get back up? He has two fake hips." It was hilarious.
